SALES FAQs

Do you accept trades?

Yes! We consider all trades – even for vehicles we don’t typically sell on our lot, such as motorcycles, campers, 4-wheelers, even jet skis.  Learn more here.

Can I sell my car to Hershey Motors even if I’m not buying a car from Hershey Motors?

Yes! Hershey Motors will offer you a fair market value for your trade.  Please drop by with your vehicle and we’ll be happy to conduct an appraisal.

I saw a car on your lot, but I don’t see it on the website – does that mean it’s been sold?

We get new inventory in daily and it may be that the vehicle is still in the process of being photographed and uploaded to our website’s inventory. If you call in during normal business hours, our salespeople will be able to give you more information about the vehicle.

How often is the inventory updated on your website?

Typically about once a week, though cars may be added on any given day. If you follow us on Instagram (#HersheyMotors), the newest cars on the website will be added to our Instagram feed – generally within a few days of when they first appear on the website.

I am not a resident of Pennsylvania – can I still purchase a car from Hershey Motors?

Yes! Because we too love unique and unusual vehicles that may be hard to find, we’ve been happy to gain customers across the United States.

What documents are required to purchase a vehicle?

If you’re financing the vehicle, you’ll need a valid driver’s license and a valid insurance card.

Are your vehicles inspected before you offer them for sale?

Yes!  All of our vehicles in inventory have current inspection.

Do you offer a Carfax report?

Yes! You can access Carfax reports on our website at the top right corner of each vehicle listing.

Do you have summer hours?

Yes! Our summer hours are 9AM-8PM Monday thru Thursday, Friday 9AM-6PM, and Saturday 9AM-4PM.

FINANCE FAQs

Do you have a program for first-time buyers?

Yes! Please see our section on the First-Time Buyer program for more information.

Do you offer in-house financing?

No. Hershey Motors does not offer in-house financing (also known as “buy here, pay here.”)

I have bad credit – can I still get a loan?

There are a lot of factors, including your income, your credit score and the amount of loan you would need. The best way to determine this is to simply click on the finance tab of our website and fill out a credit application.

What payment methods do you accept for a down payment?

Cash, debit cards, personal checks and credit cards (some restrictions may apply).

SERVICE FAQs

Do you offer service for vehicles that are not being sold by Hershey Motors?

Yes! While we do service and inspect the vehicles for sale on our lot, we also offer general service for most vehicles.

Can I make an appointment online?

Yes!  Use our online scheduling request form to submit a short summary of service needed, and a day that would work for your schedule to drop your vehicle.  We’ll get back to you shortly.

What types of payment do you accept?

Cash, credit cards, and debit cards. No personal checks are accepted for sales (service department only).

How many months in advance can I get my vehicle inspected?

Generally two months, but please call the Hershey Motors Service Department for more specific information.

I had my vehicle serviced with Hershey Motors but I’ve lost the records – do you keep those records?

Yes! We have records dating back at least 5 years. Please contact the service department for more information.

Do your service records appear on Carfax?

Yes! If you service your vehicle through Hershey Motors, those records will be attached to your vehicle’s Carfax report.

Is the service department open on weekends?

No. Service department hours are 7AM-5PM Monday thru Friday. However, because our sales department stays open later, you may be able to make arrangements to drop your vehicle off after 5PM for service the following day.

How long does it take to get an appointment with the Hershey Motors Service Department?

It depends on our workload and the size of the job you need done, but generally we can get you in either on the same day or the following day.

Do you offer Pennsylvania State inspections?

Yes!  Our service department is proud to provide PA State Inspections.  Make your appointment today online!

Do you do body work?

No, we do not do body work in-house, but have trusted partners that we often use and/or recommend when necessary.
